The Internet of Things refers to the real-time acquisition of any object or process that needs to be monitored, connected, and interactive through various devices and technologies such as various information sensors, radio frequency identification technology, global positioning system, infrared sensors, laser scanners, and other necessary information such as sound, light, heat, electricity, mechanics, chemistry, biology, and location through various possible network access. Realize the ubiquitous connection between things and things, things and people, and realize the intelligent perception, recognition and management of goods and processes. More simply, it can be understood as a medium for information transmission.
As such a widely used iot controller, there are certain requirements for its shell, so why choose aluminum alloy as the shell of the iot controller?
1.Density. The density of aluminum is 2.7g/cm3, only 55.2% greater than that of magnesium (1.74g/cm3), but only 30% of copper (8.96g/cm3) and steel (34.6%) (7.8g/cm3). Therefore, the use of aluminum to manufacture various equipment and structures can achieve good energy saving and weight reduction effects.
2.Electrical and thermal conductivity. Aluminum has good electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity and reflective properties, the conductivity of aluminum and aluminum alloy is second only to silver, their conductivity is equivalent to the international standard annealed copper (IACS) 62%~65%, about 50% of silver, if for equal quality, the electrical conductivity of aluminum is more than the two metals.
3.Its low temperature performance is good, and its tensile strength Rm and elongation A both increase correspondingly with the decrease of temperature.
4.High corrosion resistance, in the air, aluminum and aluminum alloy surface will form alumina film, thick 0.005μm~0.015μm. In addition, anodizing, electrophoretic coating or spraying can also be used to process and design the surface of aluminum products to design a more unique appearance.
5.As can be seen from the data listed in the table, the energy consumption of extracting 1 ton of primary aluminum is 213GJ, while the energy consumption of recycling and reproducing 1 ton of recycled aluminum is 10.4GJ, the ratio of energy consumption of the latter to that of the former (10.4/213GJ) is 4.88%, less than 5%, and the greenhouse gas emission rate of 715/17000kg is lower. Only 4.21%. Therefore, aluminum is a real and veritable green metal.
